I am a hoarder. But not a crazy cat lady type of hoarder, just something very specific.
People who know me, have you picked yourselves up off the floor yet?! I say that because I am so far removed from being that type of person as I HATE clutter and I'm a EVERYTHING must be in it's place person, or my brain simply does not cope.
When I was younger I think I was pretty much the same, perhaps not so particular. But when our family home burnt down (that's an entire post just on its own!) when I was 19, and we lost everything I came to realise right then and there that material items don't matter. People do.
From then on and right to this very day, anything that does't get used, worn or have sentimental value eventually gets sold or donated to charity.
Sentimental value being the key words with my specific hoarding.
Ok, so here it is...........
I can NOT bring myself to throw away ANY of my Mr 13's school work, drawings and pictures etc. I have kept every single one since he started Kindy and he is now in Grade 9!
Oh and by the way I only donated his baby clothes to charity THIS year. Keeping all the gorgeous knitted baby jumpers and jackets made by my two Grandmother's.
YES I'm that kind of Mumma and proud of it. I think I'm allowed to hoard these treasures.

| there is more than this! |
To me these are like photos, you just have to look at them at the memories come flooding back. They grow up so fast, too fast. I remember his first day of kindy, first day of school and now he is 13 going on 20! Those with teens would know the sighs, rolling of eyes, and the dreaded "Mum and Dad you just don't know/understand".
I love my boy to the moon and back, and these are my treasures to keep forever.
Are you my type of hoarder?!
