uber celebrations {my 40th}

I thought I would share my 40th birthday celebration with you.  Indeed it was a couple of years ago, sigh.......

But it WAS a fabulous evening!

I'm very partial to the colour green, love candles, bamboo torches and fairy lights, so all these made a show on the night.

On arrival my guests were handed a vodka, lime and soda.  Big hit in those cute little bottles!

A small selection of food that we enjoyed during the course of the evening.  I'm very lucky to have three family members that are chef's, they helped out on the night in the savoury department, particularly my brother-in-law.  Took a LOAD of pressure off me!

Thankful for my Dad and my gorgeous boy on the day.  They both helped me set up for the party.  At the time we had our business, so Hubby had to work and wasn't able to lend a hand.  In fact he came home really sick (stressed related, I wasn't happy!) and ended up being in bed for most of the night while we partied on!

The sweets table.  Putting these together is just so much fun and is very well received let me tell you.  Adults are worse than children at these tables!

All in all it was a fabulous evening full of gorgeous people that are important to me, laughter, food and drink.
